Request for Information Regarding Treatment and Disposal of Elemental Mercury

The U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Environmental Management is conducting market research for a potential future treatment and disposal acquisition activity and fee rulemaking activities for elemental mercury waste, as required by the Mercury Export Ban Act of 2008 and the Frank R. Lautenberg Chemical Safety for the 21st Century Act.
