NOAA Preliminary Approval of Exempted Fishing Permit Application

The Assistant Regional Administrator for Sustainable Fisheries has made a preliminary determination that an Exempted Fishing Permit application contains all required information and warrants further consideration, allowing federally permitted commercial fishing vessels to fish outside regulations in support of exempted fishing activities proposed by the NOAA Northeast Fisheries Science Center.
