U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Proposes Threatened Status for Florida Manatee and Endangered Status for Antillean Manatee

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service proposes to list the Florida manatee as a threatened species and the Antillean manatee as an endangered species under the Endangered Species Act of 1973, replacing the current threatened species listing of the West Indian manatee.
