NMFS Initiates 5-Year Review for Indus River Dolphin

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has initiated a 5-year review for the Indus River dolphin (Platanista gangetica minor) to ensure the accuracy of its listing classification under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). The review will consider new data on the species' status, threats, and recovery since the previous review in 2016.
