FMCSA Grants Exemption to Covenant Logistics for Commercial Driver's License Requirement

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has granted an exemption to Covenant Logistics, a joint venture of Covenant Transport Inc. and Landair Transport Inc., allowing commercial learner's permit holders to operate commercial motor vehicles without a CDL holder in the passenger seat, provided they have passed the skills test and have documentation.
