Coast Guard Proposes Harmonization of Regulations for Bulk Solid Hazardous Materials

The U.S. Coast Guard is proposing to align its regulations with the International Maritime Organization's (IMO) amendments to the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) to make the International Maritime Solid Bulk Cargoes (IMSBC) Code mandatory for vessels carrying bulk solid hazardous materials in U.S. navigable waters.
