EPA Finalizes Residual Risk and Technology Review for Primary Copper Smelting NESHAP

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) finalized the residual risk and technology review (RTR) for the Primary Copper Smelting major source category under the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP), which includes emission standards for particulate matter, mercury, and other hazardous air pollutants. The final amendments also establish work practice standards for bypass stacks and emissions control design standards to minimize process fugitive emissions.
