FAA Extends Prohibition on Certain Flights in Baghdad FIR

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has extended a prohibition on certain flights in the Baghdad Flight Information Region (FIR) at altitudes below 320 FL for three years, from October 26, 2024, to October 26, 2027, due to risks posed by Iranian-aligned militia groups and third-party military operations.
