U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Reopens Comment Period for Rufa Red Knot Critical Habitat Designation

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has reopened the comment period for its proposed rule to designate critical habitat for the rufa red knot, a species of bird, under the Endangered Species Act. The proposed critical habitat designation now covers approximately 683,405 acres across 127 units in 12 states.
