U.S. Coast Guard to Enforce Safety Zone in Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal

The U.S. Coast Guard will restrict access to a segment of the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal from October 4 to November 5, 2010, to protect waterways from hazards associated with the installation of parasitic structures to control aquatic nuisance species.
