OSM Corrects Montana Regulatory Program Document

The Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement (OSM) published a corrected document in the Federal Register on August 21, 2026, after initially rejecting an amendment to the Montana regulatory program under the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of 1977 (SMCRA). The error was corrected by adding a new paragraph to 30 CFR 926.12.
