EPA Proposes Revision to Clean Water Act Regulations for Vessels and Floating Craft

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposes to revise a regulatory definition under the Clean Water Act (CWA) permitting regulations pertaining to discharges in the contiguous zone and ocean. The proposed rulemaking would clarify that vessels and other floating craft adding pollutants in these waters do not require a permit.
