The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is revising Airworthiness Directive (AD) 2012-02-07 for General Electric Company (GE) CF6-45 and CF6-50 series turbofan engines due to four incidents of LPT rotor assembly separation. The revised AD requires inspections and replacement of the affected LPT rotor stage 3 disk with a redesigned one.
