EPA Approves Pennsylvania Air Plan for Reduced Particulate Matter

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved a redesignation request from Pennsylvania to reduce particulate matter in the Liberty-Clairton area, meeting the 1997 Annual and 2006 24-Hour Fine Particulate Matter Standard, and a maintenance plan for the Allegheny County area, meeting the 2012 Annual Fine Particulate Matter Standard.
