Security Zone Established for Michoud Slip in New Orleans

The Captain of the Port of New Orleans has established a security zone around the Michoud Slip in New Orleans, Louisiana, to protect the Deepwater Horizon blowout preventer and adjacent infrastructure from potential sabotage or damage. The security zone is enforced under the Magnuson Act and requires permission from the Captain of the Port for vessels to enter the area.
