EPA Approves Arizona's UIC Program Primacy Application for Class I-VI Injection Wells

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is approving Arizona's application for primary enforcement responsibility for Class I-VI injection wells under the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) section 1422. This approval will allow the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) to regulate underground injection wells within the state.
