Commerce in Explosives-Storage of Shock Tube With Detonators (2005R-3P)

The Department of Justice is amending the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) regulations to allow the storage of shock tubes with detonators, as the combination does not pose a mass detonation hazard. Shock tubes are small diameter plastic tubes coated with a thin layer of explosive material that transmit a low energy wave when initiated.
