EPA Approves Texas' Class VI Primacy Application

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved the State of Texas' application to take primary enforcement responsibility for Class VI injection wells under the Safe Drinking Water Act, allowing the Texas Railroad Commission to issue and enforce permits for geologic carbon sequestration.
