EPA Proposes Extension of Coal Combustion Residuals Closure Deadline

The Environmental Protection Agency is proposing to extend the deadline for closing unlined coal combustion residuals surface impoundments by three years, from October 17, 2028, to October 17, 2031, to promote electric grid reliability.
