NRC Issues Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact for Hermes Test Reactor Facility Extension Request

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is issuing an environmental assessment and finding of no significant impact for Kairos Power LLC's request to extend the completion date of the Hermes test reactor facility in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, from December 31, 2026, to April 30, 2029.
