NRC Grants Westinghouse Exemption for AP1000 Design Certification Renewal

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission has granted Westinghouse Electric Company LLC an exemption to delay the renewal of the AP1000 design certification, allowing it to be renewed more than 36 months before its initial 40-year period expires.
