FERC Directs NERC to Develop New Reliability Standard for Extreme Weather Events

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission requires the North American Electric Reliability Corporation to develop a new Reliability Standard within 18 months to address reliability concerns related to transmission system planning for extreme heat and cold weather events.
