EPA Finalizes Good Neighbor Plan for 2015 Ozone NAAQS

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) finalized the Federal Implementation Plan (FIP) requirements to address 23 states' obligations to eliminate significant contribution to nonattainment of the 2015 ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS). This action prohibits emissions from fossil fuel-fired power plants and certain industrial stationary sources in 22 and 20 states, respectively, starting in the 2023 and 2026 ozone seasons.
