U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for Desert Tortoise Conservation Plan

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is opening a public scoping period to evaluate the human environmental impacts of a proposed general conservation plan for the federally threatened desert tortoise in California.
