EPA Approves Pennsylvania's Air Plan for Sulfur Dioxide Reduction

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has proposed approving a state implementation plan revision to redesignate Allegheny County, Pennsylvania from nonattainment to attainment for the 2010 1-hour primary sulfur dioxide standard, as submitted by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) on November 14, 2023.
