NCPDP Adopts Updated Retail Pharmacy Standards Under HIPAA

The National Council for Prescription Drug Programs (NCPDP) has adopted updated versions of retail pharmacy standards for electronic transactions under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). The updates modify existing standards for various pharmacy transactions, including Medicaid pharmacy subrogation.
