FMCSA Requests Public Comment on APTA's Exemption Request for Public Transit CDL Applicants

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has received an application from the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) to exempt public transit agencies and their contractor partners from the 'under-the-hood' portion of the pre-trip vehicle inspection skills test for commercial driver's license (CDL) applicants operating in public transportation, including interstate commerce.
