FRA Withdraws Proposed Rule on Waiver and Safety-Related Procedures

The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) withdrew its October 29, 2024, proposed rule (NPRM) on updating waiver and safety-related procedures, which aimed to redefine the 'in the public interest' and 'consistent with railroad safety' components of the statutory waiver and suspension standard.
