NRC Issues FONSI and EA for OPPD's License Amendment Request at Fort Calhoun Station, Unit 1

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is issuing a finding of no significant impact (FONSI) and accompanying environmental assessment (EA) for Omaha Public Power District's (OPPD) license amendment request to terminate the license of the Fort Calhoun Station, Unit 1, in Nebraska. The amendment would edit dose calculations and site survey requirements for concrete structures deeper than 3 meters.
