FMCSA Renews RVIA Exemption for Certain RV Drivers

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has renewed the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association's (RVIA) exemption from commercial driver's license (CDL) requirements for certain RV drivers, subject to revised terms and conditions. The exemption allows drivers to deliver newly manufactured motorhomes and RVs to dealers or trade shows before retail sale, maintaining a level of safety equivalent to or greater than CDL requirements.
