FAA Extends Flight Prohibition in Pyongyang FIR for Five Years

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has extended the prohibition against certain flights in the Pyongyang Flight Information Region (FIR) for an additional five years, until September 18, 2028, due to safety concerns related to North Korea's military capabilities. The extension applies to U.S. air carriers, commercial operators, and U.S.-registered aircraft operators, with some exemptions for foreign air carriers and operators.
