DHS Extends and Redesignates Afghanistan for Temporary Protected Status

The Department of Homeland Security is extending the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) designation for Afghanistan for 18 months, from November 21, 2023, to May 20, 2025, and redesignating the country for the first time, allowing additional Afghan nationals to apply for TPS.
