EPA Solicits Public Comment on Metamitron Exemptions for Sugar Beet Control

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has received requests from the Colorado and Nebraska Departments of Agriculture to use the pesticide metamitron to control Palmer amaranth on up to 69,596 acres of sugar beets. The EPA is seeking public comment before making a decision on granting the exemptions.
