FMCSA Receives Exemption Applications for Individuals with ICDs Due to Cardiovascular Conditions

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) has received applications from two individuals seeking exemptions to operate commercial motor vehicles despite having implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) due to cardiovascular conditions. The exemptions, if granted, would allow these individuals to drive CMVs in interstate commerce.
