FRA Issues Safety Advisory to Heighten Awareness of King Pin Assembly Failure in Highway-Rail Grade Crossing Warning Systems

The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) has issued Safety Advisory 2023-05 to remind the railroad industry of the potential failure of king pin assemblies in highway-rail grade crossing warning systems equipped with breakaway gates, and recommends regular inspections and replacements of worn components.
