Coast Guard Issues Final Rule on Towing Vessel Firefighting Training

The US Coast Guard is introducing a revised training requirement for mariners seeking endorsements as master or mate of towing vessels on inland waters or Western Rivers routes, allowing them to opt for a modified basic firefighting course that excludes training on non-required equipment.
