Colorado River Reservoir Operations: Development of Post-2026 Operational Guidelines and Strategies for Lake Powell and Lake Mead

The US Department of the Interior has released a Scoping Summary Report on the development of operational guidelines for Lake Powell and Lake Mead, two major reservoirs on the Colorado River. The report outlines the Department's preliminary assessment of the proposed action and the environmental analysis to be included in the draft environmental impact statement (DEIS), which is expected to be published in December 2024.
