EPA Expands PFAS Reporting Requirements and Eliminates Exemptions

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is expanding the list of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) subject to reporting under the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) and the Pollution Prevention Act (PPA) to include more chemicals, eliminating exemptions and reducing reporting options. This change aims to provide a more comprehensive picture of PFAS releases and waste management quantities.
