NMFS Revises Taxonomy of Giant Manta Ray Under Endangered Species Act

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) is revising the taxonomy of the giant manta ray (Mobula birostris) to reflect the scientifically accepted classification, with no impact on its listing status under the Endangered Species Act of 1973.
