HUD Extends Comment Period for Proposed Rule on FHIP and FHAP Testing Program Restrictions

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has extended the comment period for a proposed rule to remove criminal conviction restrictions for testers in Fair Housing Initiatives Program (FHIP) and Fair Housing Assistance Program (FHAP)-funded testing programs until January 11, 2024. The original comment period was set to end on January 2, 2024.
