U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Adjusts Civil Penalties for Inflation

The NRC is amending its regulations to adjust maximum civil monetary penalties for violations of the Atomic Energy Act and Program Fraud Civil Remedies Act, effective for Fiscal Year 2024, in response to the Federal Civil Penalties Inflation Adjustment Act of 1990 and its 2015 amendments.
