NRC Seeks Public Comment on Draft Environmental Assessment for Kairos Power's Hermes 2 Test Reactors

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is seeking public comment on a draft environmental assessment and finding of no significant impact for proposed construction permits for Kairos Power, LLC's (Kairos) two non-power test reactors, Hermes 2, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. The permits would authorize the construction of the reactors, which are part of the Kairos Power Fluoride Salt-Cooled, High Temperature Reactor technology.
