NRC Considers Amendments to Palisades Nuclear Plant License for Potential Power Reauthorization

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is considering four amendments to the Renewed Facility Operating License (RFOL) No. DPR-20 for the Palisades Nuclear Plant, requested by Holtec Decommissioning International, LLC (HDI) on behalf of Holtec Palisades, LLC, to potentially reauthorize power operations. The NRC proposes to determine that these amendments involve no significant hazards consideration (NSHC) and is issuing an order for procedures to access sensitive unclassified non-safeguards information (SUNSI) and safeguards information (SGI) for those who file a hearing request or petition for leave to intervene.
