FAA Proposes Airworthiness Directive for BAE Systems BAe 146 Series Airplanes

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has proposed a new airworthiness directive to modify the autopilot engagement circuit on BAE Systems (Operations) Limited Model BAe 146 series airplanes to address an unsafe condition where the autopilot does not automatically disconnect when a pilot applies a pitch input or operates the electric pitch trim switch.
