FDA Amends Color Additive Regulations for Gardenia Blue

The FDA is exempting gardenia (genipin) blue from certification requirements, allowing its safe use in foods at levels consistent with good manufacturing practice, in response to a petition from Exponent, Inc. on behalf of the Gardenia Blue Interest Group.
