Coast Guard Establishes Permanent Security Zone on Lower Mississippi River

The US Coast Guard is creating a permanent security zone along the Lower Mississippi River from mile markers 94 to 97, above Head of Passes, near New Orleans, to protect vessels, waterfront facilities, and the public from potential sabotage or accidents.
