DHS Proposes Alternative Procedures for Document Examination in Form I-9 Process

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is proposing to allow employers to use alternative procedures for verifying the documents presented by employees, as part of a pilot program or in response to public health or national emergencies, in an effort to streamline the Form I-9 process.
