Department of the Interior Publishes Direct Final Rule to Implement Social Security Number Fraud Prevention Act of 2017

The Department of the Interior is publishing a direct final rule to implement the provisions of the Social Security Number Fraud Prevention Act of 2017, which prohibits the inclusion of Social Security account numbers on documents sent through the mail unless deemed necessary and precautions are taken to protect the numbers.
