Alaska Native Claims Selection

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) will issue an appealable decision approving the conveyance of surface estate in certain lands to Calista Corporation, an Alaska Native regional corporation, as per the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act of 1971 (ANCSA). The lands, now part of the Yukon Delta National Wildlife Refuge, will retain subsurface ownership by the United States.
