US Department of Agriculture Amends Regulations for Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza Indemnity Payments

The US Department of Agriculture is updating its rules to require commercial poultry farms to undergo biosecurity audits before restocking poultry if they were previously infected with highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI), in order to ensure that farmers take measures to prevent the spread of the disease.
